Martin - Body By King Founder
Since starting my career as a Personal Trainer it’s been my vision to create the Body By King family. I’m driven by helping people with sharing my philosophy of health and well-being. Every one of us has individual goals, backgrounds, motivation, daily pressures and I take great pride in understanding each of my clients so that I can develop practical strategies to help them reach their goals for the long term. Whatever that maybe – losing weight, building muscle, endurance training, recovering from injury or illness. At the core of it all, is to live a happy healthy lifestyle. I don’t have clients – instead I have lots of family members. We’re in this ride together and not just for the highs but the bumpy bits too! – Martin
Emma - Stretch Specialist (aka the Yoga Guru)
My zest for a healthy and energised life led me into the world of yoga. I’m an international teaching school trained yoga instructor and have worked closely with Martin for many years. Taking the time to properly stretch both after your workout and as part of your weekly routine has endless benefits including; building your strength, reducing injuries, rehabilitation as well as improving digestion and metabolism – to name just a few. I’ll help you find that little bit of Zen in your busy life. – Emma
Nutrition (aka the Foodies)
As ‘Mrs King’, I’ve been a part of Martin’s journey over the last decade and have developed my own passion for living a fit and healthy lifestyle. I absolutely love food and enjoy cooking healthy but delicious food which compliments my active lifestyle. My favourite pastime (alongside working out) is experimenting with food and creating new recipes. My motto is that we should make the most of life and food is a big part of enjoying the ride! – Laura
My journey began when I came to Martin for personal training a couple of years after having my third child. I soon learnt that the right nutrition was key to regaining my pre-baby physique. I completely overhauled my eating – I was a real believer in low fat, sugar free diet foods so I had a lot to learn! I began to self-study and absorb as much information as I could to understand how food fuels our bodies. I love learning about nutrition and get a real buzz from helping others understand that food should be embraced rather than restricted. We can have our cake and eat it – it’s just about what you use to make your cake. – Roo
